Uruguay, Brazil and back to Argentina

Oi!

Alot has happened since last update! Me and Mads went to Punta del Este, Uruguay for a couple of days and enjoyed the beaches. A real surfer city, that was very turistic. The waves were enormous and the beaches nice.

After this we wanted to go to the Iguaçu waterfalls, but there was no direct route to the place - we had to travel through the city Porto Alegre, Brazil. Whenh we found out about this we decided to spend a couple of days here, as our friend from Buenos Aires, Rust, lived in this city. So we called him when we arrived and we spent two nice days with him in Porto Alegre. He was our guide in the city and he introudced us to a jazz bar, where they played beautiful Brazilian jazz. The day after we had a party with his friends, which also was a nice experience. After this we went to Foz do Iguaçu, where we lived close to the waterfalls. Although it was very expensive for us (they demanded double price for tourists...) we had they best experience so far on this trip at the waterfalls. We were on a boat ride where we sailed under some of the waterfalls. It was beautiful! After this we took a trail next to the waterfalls, where we saw an even bigger waterfall for every corner we turned. Amazing, very hard to describe, I hope I soon can upload some pictures!!

We then took to Salta to meet up with the three other - Mads Oliver, Jakob and Ulrik. They had hooked up with a swedish girl, and soon after two (CRAZY) norwegians and an englishman joined us all.

Salta is a very beautiful city which is located in a valley. A lot of mountains in this area. The first thing we did when all we danes were together again (after food of course) was take a ski-lift to the top of one of the sorounding mountains and walk down again. On the way down we got lost - as we didnt want to take the main road but go through the woods... we finally got out of the woods after a journey where we felt like wildmen. After spending almost an hour in the woods you would think this would make you dirty. Not. The first thing I did when I came out on the road again was to fall in Saltas only pond so I got all muddy. Perfect.

They day after we all (with the swede, norwegians and englishman) took a trip to Cayafate, 200 km outside Salta. The bus ride oput here was amazing - we drove between the mountains, and as we are about over 2000 meter over sea level, the mountains was even more beautiful, different coulours and shapes. For sure this part of the country is more interesting then the big city of Buenos Aires and Porto Alegre. We spent a night here as we the day after took a bike ride arouind the city to taste wines - the best vineyards are here. We got driven up to the top of a mountain by car, where we afterwards drove down on our mountain bikes. A very funny and nice trip.

Tomorrow we are all going to Bolivia, and our first big trip might be the salt desert - Salar de Uyuni.

Take care!

Exit Buenos Aires - Hola beach & waterfalls

Hola!

I promised my Dad to write in english, so here we go!

We have now met with our fifth friend, Mads Oliver. Its great to see him as we havnt seen him since November!! We are now set for departure from Buenos Aires, where we havnt really been that cultural the last couple of days (its no problem as Buenos Aires doesnt really has that much to offer!). This tuesday we were in a sort of mini-Amazonas right outside of Buenos Aires with our friends Diego from Chile and Rust from Brazil. We rented a small boat and sailed in this small society, where people only could transport themselves in boats. Else then that we have just been up till late and slept untill 1-2 pm. Yep, we have really been chilling and be lazy the last days.

BUT NOW! we have plans on saying goodbye to Buenos Aires, and say hello to other parts of South America. We have to split up the next 10 days as Ulrik, Jakob and Mads Oliver rather would like to see central Argentina and the Andes and me and Mads are now going to Uruguay and Foz du Iguacu in Brazil. its gonna be fun, fun, fun!!!

At Uruguay we are gonna be a couple of days and spend some time at the beach Punta del Este which is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We are planning to leave already tonight if there are any busses - me and Mads are beeing spontaneous regarding this. We are going to stay there a couple of days and then we are going to leave for Foz du Iguacu, a place with waterfalls, which also is supposed to be very beautiful (check google for pics- its your best friend).

After this we are going to meet again with the three other gringos danese in Salta - the north of Argentina and from here probably go to Bolivia.

Thats all for now!!

Take care and Forza Lazio!

Buenos Aires

Hola,
